This is Mark Bender's third year collaborating with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Commonwealth Press on the Game Day poster project. His meticulously crafted images have been incorporated into advertising, editorial and institutional clients including MLB, NHL, NFL, Simon & Shuster, Sony Music, NPR, UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Heinz USA, Carnegie Mellon University, PITT University, East End Brewing, Pittsburgh Regional Transit, The Heinz History Center, Federated Investors and Commonwealth Press. Mark’s illustration is classically inspired and combines traditional media with contemporary technology to create compelling imagery that connects with the audience. His visual vocabulary pulls from vintage advertising of the 20’s and 30’s, WPA and propaganda posters, giving contemporary concepts a timeless motif.
